Oconee County, Ga., Begins E-recording with Simplifile

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) OCONEE COUNTY, Ga. (PRWEB) June 26, 2014 Electronic recording in Oconee County is now available through Simplifile, the nation's largest e-recording service provider, enabling recording customers to submit and record documents with the clerk's office via the Internet.

"It's so much more convenient for title companies and other organizations to prepare and submit documents for recording electronically," said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. "Instead of having to rely on the mail or drive to the clerk's office, customers can replace the paper-recording process with a few mouse clicks and have their documents recorded in a minutes through e-recording." With e-recording, customers can scan, upload, and submit documents to the clerk's office online, where the clerk's office is able to receive, review, stamp, record and return the documents back to the submitter in minutes.

If a document is rejected for any reason, the customer can quickly correct and re-submit the document right away, avoiding further delays and postage fees that come with submitting documents by mail.

"We're excited to see Oconee County e-recording and make this cost-effective technology available to their customers," Clifford said.

Other benefits of e-recording include increased document security and fewer check-writing expenses, as recording fees and payments can also be processed electronically through Automated Clearing House with Simplifile's service.

Oconee County joins 12 other Georgia e-recording counties that have made Simplifile's e-recording service available to customers.

High-speed Internet access, a computer, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to be able to e-record documents through Simplifile.
