Latifur Rahman elected ICC executive board member
(United News of Bangladesh Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Dhaka, June 29 (UNB) Latifur Rahman, vice-president of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)-Bangladesh and chairman and CEO of Transcom Group, has been elected member of the executive board of the Paris-based ICC for a three-year term starting from July 2014.
Latifur along with five others was unanimously elected ICC executive board member at its 202nd council held in Geneva on June 27, said a press release on Sunday.
In 2012, Latifur Rahman was awarded 'Oslo Business for Peace Award' by the Business for Peace Foundation, Oslo and 'Business Executive of the Year' for 2001 by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh.
