Singapore Company Launches Simultaneous Interpretation & Translation Equipment Rental System

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Singapore (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 A Singapore company has become one of few on the island state to provide translation equipment rental that is easy to use and available for rent at rates that are within reach for most groups requiring simultaneous translation system.

Singapore is an international hub in Asia for conferences and meetings held by a wide spectrum of industry groups from financial institutions and training organizations, to churches and self-help seminars. As Singapore is a multi-lingual country, many events require simultaneous interpretation systems, as even though a speaker may be from an English speaking country, a significant percentage of the audience may speak Chinese, Vietnamese or any of the many languages from the South-East Asian region.

The huge upfront cost of purchasing simultaneous interpretation system does not make financial sense for most companies and most opt to rent such equipment for each event they host. However, with fewer than 20 companies in Singapore specializing in translation equipment rental, there is high rental demand from competing organizations, and this is on the increase as more non-profit groups are also finding a need to reach out to their non-English speaking members.

Mr Yap Tee Peng, Co-founder of Diamond Wisdom Pte Ltd commenting on this growing demand says, "There has even been an steady increase in the hire of our simultaneous translation system from churches. They rent it for their weekend Sunday services as their congregations are from all over Asia, speaking Bahasa Indonesia, Chinese, or even Thai. It seems to be partly because there are so many more overseas expats in Singapore as well." A challenge for groups such as churches or non-profit organizations is that they do not usually have an established technical department to assist with setting up and using rented translation systems, and they often incur further costs when hiring technicians to run the system. A great benefit of Diamond Wisdom's system is that it is straightforward to use.

Mr Yap adds, "There are no cables, or wires to connect with our system; it doesn't even need to connect to a wall socket. Both the transmitter and receiver run on two AA batteries, which can be changed within seconds when the batteries run out." Users of this translation equipment system also find it easy to turn on, increase or decrease the volume, and plug in the earpiece.

Despite the simple set up of the equipment, the radio frequency technology it uses means that even in a large auditorium of 1,400 people, it still delivers clear audio.

With its interpretation equipment rental service, Diamond Wisdom Pte Ltd is pleased to be one of the few companies in Singapore helping people gain access to the messages they need to hear, no matter what language those messages are spoken in.
