Firm Urges Marketing of Dar Wares Abroad

(AllAfrica Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) THE Chicago-based company, KOFA International, has called upon both public and private business entities to team up with the company in a bid to secure markets in US for Tanzanian made products under the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).

The company which takes part for the first time at the 38th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) among other things specializes in facilitating and levering financing for African governments and businesses.

KOFA International Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Ganiyu Dada pointed out that by participating during the DITF, the company sees how it can incorporate Tanzania into US market, which is said to be difficult to penetrate.

Mr Dada noted that there are a number of opportunities in the country which he believed his company can play a great role in linking the local community to their counterpart in US and seal deals for mega investments.

"We also collaborate with other multinationals in the areas of infrastructure development, construction projects, mining, investment in oil and gas industry and so on-these are areas which I believe we can join forces with the Tanzanian government for mutual benefit," he explained.

He noted that the company whose major focus is on Africa plays a major role in transforming the continent's cash-based economies into credit based economies.

"The reality is that without credit, Africa is fooling itself when it comes to playing a role in this global economy," he remarked.

Mr Dada further stated that what his company does is facilitating the process through American banks, helping African businesses secure low-cost (single digit) loans.

"By establishing these loans, the companies can create their own credit and business profiles based on internationally accepted standards.

These credit and profiles are world-wide requirements that allow a company to become credit worthy, enabling it to easily do business anywhere in the world," the CEO noted.
