Continuing the story of elite OSS sniper Karl Fairburne during World War II, this third outing takes players to the unforgiving yet exotic terrain of North Africa. Locked in against a deadly new foe, the action is fairly tense - even if the plot is tissue thin. There are still the signature X-Ray-style long-range takedown opportunities, where a see-through glimpse of vital organs offers viscerally varied ways to dispense with the bad guys. While not without its flaws - the poor AI being my main gripe - Sniper Elite III does succeed in delivering a fun shooter experience for all gaming capabilities.
