Five distributors win awards from ams for success with customers using its analog ICs and sensors
UNTERPREMSTAETTEN, Austria --(Business Wire)--
ams AG (SIX: AMS), a leading provider of high performance analog ICs and
sensors, today announced the winners of its 2013 awards for excellence
in distribution service, naming Excelpoint Systems the winner of its
overall 'Best Distributor of the Year' award.
The Quality award went to Anatec AG of Switzerland. Other winners
included Lifetime Value Growth awards for Ineltek (Germany) and Chief
Tech Electronics (China), and an award for Excellent Demand Creation
Performance to Fujitsu (News - Alert) Electronics of Japan.
Excelpoint Systems of Singapore provides technical support, sales and
supply-chain services to customers of ams in China, India and elsewhere
in South-East Asia. In its presentation of the award to Excelpoint, ams
said that it enjoyed a strong bond of trust with the distributor, and
that this was the foundation of a reliable partnership between the two
ams was particularly impressed by the distributor's investment in
equipping a dedicated active noise cancellation (ANC) laboratory to
support Chinese headphone manufacturers. The laboratory, and the support
which Excelpoint provides to headphone manufacturers, have contrbuted
greatly to the wide adoption of ams's low-power analog ANC speaker
Anatec was notable in 2013 for the quality of support that it provided
locally, and for smoothing the sales and supply-chain process on behalf
of both ams and its manufacturing customers in Switzerland.
Ineltek and Chief Tech Electronics gained recognition for dramatic
growth in lifetime value in 2013 compared to 2012. Both substantially
increased the value of forward bookings from customers committing to use
ams parts in volume, thus securing increased revenues for ams in 2014
Fujitsu's demand creation award is particularly valuable, since ams's
advanced sensor interfaces and sensor solutions are high-performance
parts which are subject to lengthy evaluation and design-in processes.
In-depth technical design-in support from Fujitsu helps design teams to
properly appreciate the performance and features of ams's products, and
has contributed to a rapid growth in the number of new system designs
using ams parts in Japan.
'ams is fortunate that its distribution customers worldwide are so well
served by a strong team of focused local and regional distributors,'
said Heribert Hochrinner, Worldwide Distribution Manager at ams. 'These
awards reflect the effort, investment and expertise that these five
distributors have committed to ams' customers in the past 12 months.'
