TCTL Helps Less Fortunate in Society

(AllAfrica Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) THE Tanzania Telecommunications Company Limited (TTCL) has continued to assist the needy and urged other stakeholders to emulate the practice.

TTCL over the weekend donated 100 iron sheets to Female Youth Help Age Trustee based in Kibaha, Coast Region.

The company's Public Relations Manager, Mr Amini Mbaga, said the assistance sought to help the centre whose dining room collapsed after it was recently swept by floods.

The centre helps children living in difficult conditions. He said that TTCL has decided to take responsibilities to help the society especially underprivileged ones by assisting them with basic needs such as education and food.

"We have decided to focus on offering education and quality food," he said over the weekend. He stressed on the need for other stakeholders to continue to contribute various items such as medicines, food, school facilities like desks and text books.

"This is crucial since it complements government's endeavours in attaining development," he said.

The Chairperson of the Centre, Mr Simon Mganga, expressed his appreciation, saying that the assistance will help to renovate the hall which serves 30 children living at the area. He explained that the total number of children served by the trust is 350.
