Lisa Traina to Discuss Cyber Security at LSU's July Breakfast to Business


(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BATON ROUGE, La., July 9 -- Louisiana State University issued the following news release: Lisa Traina, president of Traina & Associates, will be the next speaker in LSU Executive Education's Breakfast to Business series. The event will be held Tuesday, July 29, in room 1420 of LSU's Business Education Complex from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. The Business Education Complex is located on Nicholson Extension in Baton Rouge.



Traina's presentation, "Cyber Security: Minimizing the Chance of a Single Hacker Draining Your Bank Account or Ruining Your Organization's Reputation," will provide participants insight into the changing world of cyber security.

Topics will include why breaches are now considered to be inevitable, the current threat landscape, debunking the top information security myths, whether the IT department is doing enough to protect the organization, and what to expect in the future.


"Data breaches and cyber security are issues that impact every industry and every organization, regardless of size or sophistication," said LSU Executive Education Director Robin Kistler. "We are thrilled to have one of this year's most Influential Women in Business and a four-time LSU 100 honoree share her knowledge of cyber security risks and measures to manage that risk." Registration for the event is $25 per participant, which includes a full breakfast, coffee, juice and the opportunity to meet with LSU experts and business professionals from the Baton Rouge area. LSU students, staff and faculty may register at a reduced rate of $20. Members of SCORE, Louisiana Tech Park, Louisiana Business & Technology Center, and Center for Emerging Technology also receive a reduced event fee of $20.

Breakfast to Business is a bi-monthly program presented by LSU Executive Education, which is housed in the LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute. The aim of the program is to provide timely, practical information and solutions regarding current business topics that affect the Baton Rouge community from a local, regional and national perspective.
