Former TNT Express CFO Bot To Be Aer Lingus CFO From September

(Alliance News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) LONDON (Alliance News) - Irish flag carrier Aer Lingus Group PLC Thursday said it has appointed Bernard Bot as its new chief financial officer from September 1, with Andrew Macfarlane stepping down on the same date after he has facilitated a "detailed transition process".

Bot was most recently CFO of Netherlands-based express delivery company TNT Express NV, having previously been at management consultant McKinsey & Co.

Macfarlane has been CFO at Aer Lingus for the past five years. The company didn't say why he is leaving.

"Bernard's experience within the sector and as group CFO of a leading publicly listed company will complement the skill-set of our existing strong management team and we are delighted to have a CFO of his calibre join the Aer Lingus team," Aer Lingus Chairman Colm Barrington said in a statement.
