Developing brands can help Pak entrepreneurs to earn more

(Frontier Star (Pakistan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Developing and promotion of brands can help expand the business but also bring in more foreign exchange at the international markets, Chairman Brand and Marketing Committee, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry said.

According to a press release issued here Wednesday, Chairman of the committee, Sheharyar Ali Malik was talking to leading exporters. He stressed the urgent need for developing brands to capture open global and local markets.

He said the vertical integration and institutional network are to be strengthened on modern scientific lines to meet the future challenges of global marketing. He said that Pakistani entrepreneurs have potential to compete in the foreign markets but they failed to focus on developing their own brands.

He said Pakistan is producing one of the best products in the world in sports, textile, fruits, vegetables, handicrafts and in several other sectors but not exporting them but those were either sold under the brand name of different importers or as unbranded product, consequently fetching less price.

He said modern trends and techniques of marketing can also help promote Pak exports worldwide. He said that TDAP chief has fully assured that absolutely genuine exhibitors will not only be encouraged but also facilitated to maximum extent.

He urged the private sector to restore the consumer faith and trust by manufacturing the best quality products on competitive prices for the promotion of brands.

Sheharyar Ali Malik said that FPCCI in collaboration with TDAP would launch short duration courses, workshop and hold seminars at local chamber level across the country on "Brand and Marketing" to keep abreast the private sector with its vital importance in promotion of their trade and business.
