BRIEF: SARTA CEO Arnold to leave post in September [The Sacramento Bee :: ]

(Sacramento Bee (CA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) July 22--Meg Arnold, who has overseen many key initiatives of the Sacramento Regional Technology Alliance for nearly five years, will step down from the CEO position on Sept. 30, SARTA announced today.

SARTA, which fosters growth of tech companies and jobs in the Sacramento region, said its executive committee will lead a search for a new CEO.

In a prepared statement, Peter Van Deventer, SARTA's board chairman, said that Arnold "has driven significant growth and accomplishments at SARTA, all focused on the mission of accelerating technology companies in the Sacramento region. Under her leadership, the organization built the MedStart program, founded AgStart and expanded to a larger and stronger membership base...We thank her for her leadership, wish her well in her future endeavors, and hope she continues to contribute to economic development initiatives locally." SARTA's media release did not spell out Arnold's future plans, and her SARTA voicemail said she was out of the office this week.
