Engineering Design Technology Gets $22,000 Product Donation from Unitronics


(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NORWALK, Calif., July 23 -- Cerritos College issued the following news release: A student holding a donated Unitronics productNORWALK, Calif. - July 23, 2014 - The Cerritos College Engineering Design Technology department received a $22,000 product donation from Unitronics, a leading touch screen manufacturer based in Quincy, Massachusetts.



The $22,000 donation included various components used for industrial and commercial touch-screen technology equipment that will enable students to get hands-on training on touch screen interface programming.

With the College's critical focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education, the donation will provide students with more enhanced training on the latest technology for high-demand careers in engineering, manufacturing, and information technology.


The donated equipment will be used in the College's new product development class: Mechatronics for Products Development beginning in the fall 2014 semester.
