PAUL, Minn., July 23 -- The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development issued the following news release: The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) in partnership with the law firm of Gray Plant Mooty, has published "A Legal Guide to Privacy and Data Security" as a free guide for Minnesota businesses.



The book offers guidance on a variety of privacy and data security-related laws, the impact of such laws on business and best practices to mitigate risks.It covers key federal privacy and data security laws, Minnesota privacy laws, privacy in the workplace, as well as global privacy and data security laws.

"This is the first-ever attempt to compile Minnesota state data privacy and security laws, as well as federal and global privacy laws in one publication."
