Absoft & Neptune to Develop Built Web Apps for Upstream Oil & Gas [Gulf Oil & Gas (Egypt)](Gulf Oil & Gas (Egypt) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aberdeen-based specialist SAP consultancy Absoft has partnered with enterprise mobility experts, Neptune Software, in Norway, to develop a suite of custom built web applications for SAP users in upstream oil and gas. Neptune's Application Designer solution allows developers to create bespoke SAP apps for mobile devices or desktops with user friendly interfaces, which in some cases, has reduced developer's time by as much as 70%. With easy to use drag and drop design functionality, ABAP and SAPUI5 developers can create apps for HTML5 with minimal up skill for simple JavaScript with a turnaround of only one to two days. The unique value Neptune offers is user friendly and mobile deployable solutions for any business, irrespective of the complexity of their SAP system configuration. Neptune Software was established in 2011 by former SAP employees looking to bring a new and enhanced user experience to clients. Before Neptune, conventional apps could only be used with standardised SAP systems and often required system upgrades first. Users can now benefit from the reduced time and cost to implement bespoke commissioned apps, with cross-platform web or device deployment suitability and easy integration with existing SAP infrastructure.
