MTN-Ghana donates to Chief Imam towards Eid-ul Fitr [Ghana News Agency]


(Ghana News Agency Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Accra, July 25, GNA – MTN - Ghana on Thursday donated some items and cash to the National Chief Imam, Sheik Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu.

The items included 20 boxes of soft drinks, 20 boxes of Bell Aqua Mineral water, 10 bags of rice, four cartons of vegetable oil, four boxes of juice, a ram, assorted MTN souvenirs, Airtime worth of 5,000 Ghana Cedis and an amount of 2,000 Ghana Cedis.



The donation formed part of MTN's Corporate Social Responsibility to the Muslim community of Ghana towards the celebration of Eid-ul Fitr.

Presenting the items Mr Salihu Abu, Senior Manager Customer Services and Credit Management extended MTN-Ghana's warm regards and sincere wishes to the Muslim community of Ghana.


He recounted that MTN-Ghana had supported the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr for the past seven years, and gave the assurance that it will continue to support the celebration.

Mr Abu thanked Allah for the opportunity to again share and strengthen MTN-Ghana's relationship with the Muslim community.

He disclosed that MTN-Ghana is pursuing a new vision of leading the delivery of a bold new digital world, and that the company is investing in network infrastructure and providing the latest of technologies to develop innovative products and services to delight customers.

He said in line with this, during the Hajj period, MTN will provide pilgrims with promotional packages that will make it easy to call families and friends at very affordable rates.

Sheik Sharubutu thanked MTN-Ghana for the gesture, and assured it of his support through prayers.

He urged MTN to continue to support the Muslim community, especially in the area of Education.
