Robi ends Eid clothe-distribution among deprived children

Dhaka, July 27 (UNB) - Leading mobile phone
operator Robi Axiata Limited has completed the distribution of clothes as Eid
gifts among the underprivileged children across the country.
A total of 25,000 disadvantaged
children in all 64 districts received new clothes from Robi which commenced the
countrywide campaign in early July, said a press release.
distribution was conducted in association with Volunteer for Bangladesh, a
youth wing of JAAGO Foundation.

theme of the campaign "In this Eid, who will you make smile?", the clothes
distribution programme was aimed at bringing smiles to thousands of deprived children
across the country.
The campaign also
enabled Robi subscribers who recharged Tk 28 or Tk 58 to be a part of this
noble endeavour. Besides, being a proud partner of this initiative, Robi
subscribers also enjoyed additional usage bonuses and free offers amounting to
800%++ of their total recharge.
Supun Weerasinghe, MD and CEO of Robi Axiata Limited, marking
the end of the Eid clothes distribution, said, "Robi management is truly
