A 7-inch Phone, Anyone? There's The Samsung Galaxy Tab Q [Mobile 88 Online (Malaysia)]

(Mobile 88 Online (Malaysia) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Samsung Galaxy Mega is a smartphone that splits opinions when it was announced. Some thought it was oversized for a phone while some just love the sheer size of the gigantic display. Many thought it couldn’t possibly gone any bigger than that.

Well, it just did, sort of.

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Tab Q, a 7-inch device that is being marketed as a tablet but which would not look out of place as a phablet either, what with voice-calling capability. The Galaxy Tab Q looks like any other recent Samsung smartphones with a physical home button and faux-leather back. It wouldn’t be too far off to see it as a giant Galaxy S5.

The Galaxy Tab Q is a basically a mid-range device with these specs:    • 7-inch HD TFT display (1280 x 720)    • Quad-core 1.2GHz processor    • Qualcomm Snapdragon 410    • 16GB internal memory storage (expandable up to 128GB with microSD)    • 8MP rear camera    • 2MP front-facing camera    • 3,200mAh battery Unfortunately, we will not be seeing it in our region or any other markets for that matter as it is a China-exclusive release. If Samsung decides to release it in outside of China in the future, would you consider getting a "phone" that big? Source (c) 88 Mobile.com 2014. All rights reserved. Provided by SyndiGate Media Inc.
