Capterra Ranks the Top 20 Most Popular Marketing Automation Software Solutions

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Arlington, VA (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 Capterra, an online software reviews service that helps businesses find the right software, released a new infographic today: The Top 20 Most Popular Marketing Automation Software. Capterra originally released an infographic ranking 20 of the top marketing automation vendors in December 2011, and this new release marks the first update to that study in three years. While the marketplace for marketing automation software has grown significantly in three years, Infusionsoft and HubSpot still rank atop the list in 2014, moving up from their second and third ranks in 2011. Newcomer to the marketing automation space, Vocus, rounds out the top three in the new 2014 study.

Marketing Automation software allows for better management of digital marketing by automating email and social channels, tracking and analyzing campaigns and programs, managing leads, streamlining workflow, and organizing and storing customer information.

"With the push towards digital and social media marketing, marketing professionals have a lot of inbound channels to oversee at once," said Capterra President and CEO, Michael Ortner. "The great thing about Marketing Automation software is that many of the tedious, repetitive tasks marketers face are automated, while the more nuanced tasks are streamlined. It eliminates much of the potential for human error and makes the balancing act of marketing operations a great deal more efficient." Capterra ranks the software using its popularity index – a weighted score that incorporates customer and user counts, as well as social presence of the software vendors on sites like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google+. Other infographics in this series include the recent Accounting Software, Help Desk Management, and Event Management rankings. In order to keep up with industry trends and growth moving forward, Capterra plans to update each infographic multiple times per year.

"What's unique about the Marketing Automation industry is that most of the buyers are companies with fewer than 500 employees. It's a solution that is obtainable for everyone, big and small alike," said Ortner.
