Worker accused of using computer software to steal at least $2,500 from Camden employer [Bangor Daily News (ME)]

(Bangor Daily News (ME) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) CAMDEN, Maine -- A 23-year-old Rockland man is free on bail after being arrested last week for using software to steal from a Camden computer company.

Jeremy Robinson was arrested July 21 and charged with felony theft, according to Camden police Detective Curt Andrick.

The theft had been occurring for six months and at least $2,500 had been taken, the detective said. Robinson used software on his phone to divert customer payments to Archangel Computers to himself, Andrick said. The company sells and repairs computers and provides other services.

No theft from customers occurred, Andrick added.

Robinson was released on bail the same day as his arrest on $2,500 cash bail, Andrick said. The suspect is scheduled to make an initial court appearance in Rockland District Court on Aug. 27.
