The need for electrical engineering services is anticipated to grow during the three years to 2017 due to strengthened demand from downstream industrial development and construction markets, as well as greater access to credit for businesses. "As a result, service fees are expected to continue rising during this period," says Delgado.


Because electrical engineers provide services across several industries, demand driver volatility has been low. Thus, overall demand for electrical engineering services has remained stable, and buyers have not experienced a significant risk of sudden price shifts. Low price volatility promotes a stable purchasing environment for buyers by allowing them to accurately budget and evaluate service fees over time. Moreover, the diversification of services across several markets has led to low vendor financial risk. As such, buyers can expect to be more secure in planning extensive building projects over the next three years. The three largest vendors in the market are CH2M Hill, Tetra Tech, and Stantec.
