Information Technology Authority Board reviews Oman's future plans [Times of Oman]
(Times of Oman Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Muscat: The Information Technology Authority (ITA) held its second Board of Directors meeting for 2014 recently and reviewed plans for the coming year.
Chaired by Dr Ahmed Mohammed Salem Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications and Chairman of the Information Technology Authority's Board of Directors, the meeting was attended by Members of the Board and Dr Salim Sultan Al Ruzaiqi, Chief Executive Officer of ITA. Budget proposal
The top item on the board's agenda was to approve the proposed budget for 2015. The budget proposal would be sent for final approval from the Ministry of Finance.
Next up on the agenda was discussion regarding the latest updates on the National Center for Disaster Recovery (Information Technology) and the efforts being made in this regard.
The Board then approved the guidelines for the next 9th five-year plan for e.oman strategy. At the end of the meeting, the Board reviewed the recent updates on the ongoing ITA projects and the plans to enhance their effectiveness.
