Share of Internet users who shop online rises to 58% [IntelliNews - Weekly Reports](IntelliNews - Weekly Reports Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Some 58% of the Slovak Internet users shop online at least once every three months, TASR news agency reported quoting the results from a survey carried out for the Slovak Electronic Commerce Association. The share is 13 pps higher than in 2010. Only 4% of the respondents have never shopped online. The survey also showed Slovaks prefer local online stores, as 54% of them have not purchased anything from a foreign online store in the past 12 months. Only 3% of the interviewed Slovaks made more than 80% of their online shopping in an online store located abroad. As for payments, 49% of the Slovaks prefer cash on delivery, 25% pay via bank transfer and only 13% pay online with their bank cards.
