Orange Slovensko H1 revenues fall 10% y/y to EUR 286mn [IntelliNews - Weekly Reports]


(IntelliNews - Weekly Reports Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The revenue of Slovakia's biggest mobile phone operator Orange Slovensko fell 10.3% y/y to EUR 286mn in the first six months of 2014, the first-half report of Orange Slovensko's parent company, Orange, showed.



Revenues from mobile services fell to EUR 239mn in Slovakia in Jan-June from EUR 270mn a year ago, while revenues from fixed services stayed flat on the year at EUR 28mn.

The number of Orange Slovensko's subscribers stood at 2.787mn at the end of June, the same same as at the end of June 2013. The number of fixed broadband Internet customers rose to 118,000 from 90,000.


On the Slovak market Orange competes with Deutsche Telekom's Slovak Telekom and O2 Slovakia, owned by Czech investment and financial group PPF.
