BRIEF: Teradata expanding Partners conference [Dayton Daily News, Ohio :: ]


(Dayton Daily News (OH) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aug. 04--Miami Twp.-based Teradata Corp. is expanding its 2014 Partners Conference and Expo to reach data-driven business professionals worldwide, according to a media release.

The annual forum will be held Oct. 19-23 at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville.

Officials said the scope of this year's event is expanding beyond information technology to include data professionals in every role.

The conference will feature more than 200 sessions about delivering business value through big data analytics, marketing applications, and data science. In addition, Teradata will announce new products during the event.




Global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney forecasts global spending on big data hardware, software and services will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 30 percent through 2018, reaching a total market value of $114 billion.
