AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) and the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland will be supporting the local and LGBT communities with a presence at the 9th annual Gay Games, presented by the Cleveland Foundation. The local public health nonprofits will share booth #5 in Festival Village, located in the city park known as Mall C, every day from August 10-15.

The booth will serve as an offering of health support services to the community, introducing many to the AIDS Taskforce/AHF partnership that allows Cleveland residents impacted by HIV to access testing, treatment, care, and social support services like a local food pantry in the groups' headquarters and research facility, located at 2829 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland.

Additionally, visitors to the booth will be introduced to impactful domestic and international advocacy efforts spearheaded by AHF, including the 20x20 campaign - which aims to get 20 million people worldwide on HIV/AIDS treatment by 2020 - and a rallying effort to get legislation that would greatly benefit Americans living with HIV - the Ryan White Patient Equity and Choice Act, or H.R. 4260 - passed through the U.S. Congress.

"We at AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland and AHF are so excited to introduce these groundbreaking efforts to change the world to such a large and open-minded crowd of people," said Tracy Jones, Chief Executive Director of the AIDS Taskforce. "We hope that our presence at this event will not only shed light on the services available to those living here locally, but also give all the attendees an opportunity to make a difference globally."

The Cleveland Foundation announced AHF and the AIDS Taskforce as silver-level sponsors of the 2014 Gay Games in a press statement acknowledging a multitude of new sign-ons in July.

"The sports, cultural and social events planned for Games Week require a multitude of resources," said Gay Games Executive Director Tom Nobbe in the statement. "Continuing support is vital to achieving our goals, so we're thrilled to have these new sponsors and partners on board."
