Preparing for the Post-IaaS Phase of Cloud Adoption Summit Taking Place in Austin, Texas

NEEDHAM, Mass. --(Business Wire)--

The Cloud Standards Customer Council (CSCC) is pleased to announce the summit, "Preparing for the Post-IaaS Phase of Cloud Adoption," which it will host at the Sheraton Austin Hotel at the Capitol in Austin, Texas on Thursday, September 18.

As Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) adoption has entered the mainstream, technologies and services that build upon it - specifically Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) in its many and varied forms - will become more of a focal point for cloud consumers, and will be more disruptive to the traditional IT organization and business processes.

The summit will offer customer and industry perspectives with talks focusing on the impact PaaS has had on business transformation; what DevOps means for the average business; and how to transform organizations for the "Cloud First" era. The keynote address, "Navigating the Next Wave of Cloud Transformation" will be delivered by Dr. Donald F. Ferguson, Software CTO, VP and Senior Fellow, Dell (News - Alert). The panel of key industry players will also discuss current and future PaaS treds.

"At CSCC's Cloud Standards Symposium in Boston this past June, a panel of members agreed that PaaS is the future of cloud computing," said Dr. Craig Lowery, Executive Director and Sr. Distinguished Engineer, Cloud, Software CTO Group, Dell. "In Austin this September, we'll dig further into current and future PaaS trends - not just the technology, but also the business transformation opportunities and challenges this next phase of cloud adoption brings. Anyone who is either considering or already employing cloud computing in their business will have the chance to learn and to be heard during this jam-packed interactive day."

The registration fee for the full-day summit is $175 for CSCC members; $225 for nonmembers. To view the full agenda and register, visit www.cloudstandardscustomercouncil.org/austin-14.

The Cloud Standards Customer Council (CSCC) is an OMG end-user advocacy group dedicated to accelerating cloud's successful adoption and drilling down into the standards, security and interoperability issues surrounding the transition to the cloud. While not a standards organization, CSCC complements existing cloud standards efforts by establishing a core set of client-driven requirements that ensure cloud users will have the same freedom of choice, flexibility and openness they have with traditional IT environments. CSCC is open to all end-user organizations. For more information, visit www.cloud-council.org.
