Actuate and Versiant Introduce a Fully Enabled Data Integration Solution for the Marine Terminal Industry

Actuate Corporation (NASDAQ:BIRT), The BIRT Company™ and the leader in personalized analytics and insights, today announced an alliance with Versiant Corporation, a leading provider of IT professional services and marine terminal solutions support. By combining technology from Actuate's (News - Alert) Content Services Group (formerly Xenos) with Versiant's expertise, marine terminal customers will be able to benefit from structured data integration and normalization solutions that promise to increase the effectiveness of their terminal operating systems (TOS).

Through the use of Actuate's Data Integration module (part of the Actuate Customer Communications Suite™) Versiant will be able to optimize operations for marine terminal operators and transact data among its customers, by graphically configuring and testing process flows and integration.

The Versiant/Actuate alliance will also make it easier to integrate data with the SPARCS N4 Solution, a terminal operating system designed by Navis, a global technology provider for the container terminal industry. Versiant is the only SPARCS N4 implementation partner for Navis in the Americas, and assists terminal operators globally with the deployment, migration and support of Navis products.
