Clear Vision Information Systems' RevMaxPro HEDIS Measurement Software Receives NCQA Certification in All 20 Clinical Measures

LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--

Clear Vision Information Systems announced today that it has received National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) certification in all 20 NCQA clinical measures for its HEDIS® measurement software, RevMaxPro. Such certification provides additional confidence and trust as it validates that the product meets current NCQA standards, improves the accuracy of reporting measures, and produces more reliable and comparable results.

Widely recognized as one of the healthcare industry's most powerful and easy-to-use data-intelligence tools, RevMaxPro allows health plans and providers to have an integrated view of their Medicare Advantage members, combining both risk adjustment and quality metrics. Such a view provides for efficiency and improved quality of care, as physicians have the necessary data at their fingertips to isolate patients with chronic conditions that are missing assessments, pinpoint gaps in teatment, and monitor the reporting of clinical data to CMS.

"Focusing on closing gaps at the time the patient is in the doctor's office supports improved quality while also accurately aligning provider revenue with expected cost of care," says Tom Peterson, president and CEO of Clear Vision. "In addition, by proactively looking at the key quality measures most applicable to Medicare Advantage members, RevMaxPro helps reduce costs associated with retrospective chart reviews. That saves money for health plans and contributes to greater overall efficiencies."

As part of its features, RevMaxPro provides users with detailed "report cards" tied to HEDIS and Stars performance, dashboards to support planning, and pre-populated patient forms to support physicians. RevMaxPro also allows users to compare their performance with industry norms and establish benchmarks, all of which Peterson believes "leads to the kind of ongoing quality improvement that benefits everyone."

NCQA is an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits and certifies a wide range of healthcare organizations and manages the evolution of HEDIS, the performance measurement tool used by more than 90 percent of the nation's health plans. Among the 20 clinical measures that NCQA assessed in awarding Clear Vision its full accreditation were controlling high blood pressure, persistence of beta-blocker treatment after a heart attack, cholesterol management for patients with cardiovascular conditions, comprehensive diabetes care, osteoporosis management in women who had a fracture, and more.

RevMaxPro is part of a suite of value-added services Clear Vision offers medical groups and health plans. Other portfolio products include: DxMax, a full-service hospital data collection software; SubmissionMax, a single-click diagnosis code identification and correction software that helps health plans easily manage and correct CMS-rejected diagnoses; and MDMax, a data pursuit service that enables health plans to identify gaps in reported patient conditions by uncovering missing data at physician sites of service.

Clear Vision Information Systems provides Medicare Advantage risk adjustment solutions and strategies to health plans and providers nationwide. Leveraging decades of experience at the forefront of Medicare policy, Clear Vision's portfolio of products and services - including risk adjustment analytics and easy-to-implement continuity-of-care strategies - help clients maximize their revenue while improving quality of care.
