"Our employee VolunCheers program has been instrumental in helping local South Florida community organizations. This year, we are excited to partner with the Children's Home Society of Florida for our Back-to-School Campaign. Their organization truly fills a need for children and families in our community, and we are proud to assist their efforts by donating backpacks filled with school supplie," said John Wittig, Executive Vice President, General Manager of Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida.

"At Southern, we know the importance of providing children with the materials they need for a successful academic year-and we encourage the local community to get involved in this effort," added Patrick Cassidy, Vice President, General Manager of Southern Wine & Spirits of South Florida.

This year, VolunCheers participated in three school supplies packing events-two events were held August 2 in Miami and West Palm Beach, with a third event and check presentation held on August 9 in Fort Lauderdale.

Children's Home Society of Florida Executive Director of Intercoastal and Southwest Divisions Rebecca McGuire commented, "The Back-to-School Drive hosted by Southern employees helps us provide school supplies to nearly 1,000 kids in Broward County that we support every day."

"Thanks to your contributions and the ongoing support of our South Florida community, we will continue to ensure that all of our children return to school with all they need for a successful school year," added Jackie Gonzalez, Esq., Executive Director of Southeastern Division in Miami-Dade.

Julie Demar, Executive Director of Palm Beach County concluded, "We want the children and families we support to be excited about the new school year. Backpacks full of new supplies help them start off on the right foot."
