Serbs port over 10,000 fixed telephony numbers since April 1, 2014 service launch [IntelliNews - Weekly Reports]


(IntelliNews - Weekly Reports Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Serbs ported 10,451 fixed telephony numbers between the beginning of April  2014, when the service was launched, and the end of July, Telecompaper.com informed, citing a report of news agency Tanjug based on data of the agency for electronic telecommunications, Ratel.



At the same time, Serbs also ported 223,418 mobile numbers between July 2011 (the service launch) and end-July 2014, the report said.

there are nine fixed telephony operators - state-controlled Telekom Srbija, Telenor Serbia, the largest cable operator in the country - SBB, as well as smaller domestic providers Orion Telekom, Ikom, Invest Inzenjering, Beogrid, Knight Development Support (KDS) and Jet TV.


On the other hand, the mobile operators in the country include Telekom Srbija's mobile arm m:ts, Norway's Telenor local unit of the same name and Vip Mobile, owned by Telekom Austria.
