Telenor's Bulgarian unit selects new creative, digital agencies [IntelliNews - Weekly Reports]
(IntelliNews - Weekly Reports Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Globul, the second-largest mobile operator in Bulgaria, has appointed DDB Sofia as its new creative agency and Next-DC as its digital agency, the telecom said in a statement.
The agencies were selected through tenders that evaluated their past strategic and creative work. DDB Sofia will manage Globul's advertising communications, while Next-DC will be responsible for implementing the company's digital strategy.
Globul also announced that it recently started working with PHD media agency, which is part of the same Omnicom Media Group that DDB belongs to.
Norway's Telenor acquired Globul in August 2013 for EUR 717mn. The transaction also included Germanos Bulgaria - a telecom retailer operationally integrated with Globul. The parent company announced in July that it has completed the merger of its telecom and retail units in Bulgaria.
