Melissa Bottolfson Promoted to Director of Supervision and Operations for Allianz Life Wholesale Broker/Dealer

Melissa Bottolfson was recently promoted to director of Supervision and Operations for Allianz Life Financial Services (ALFS), LLC, the wholesale broker/dealer of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life®). In this role, Bottolfson is responsible for enhancing the company's ability to mitigate risk and overseeing the compliance supervision policy design and implementation. Bottolfson also monitors the ALFS supervisory policies and procedures. By working closely with compliance and legal business partners, Bottolfson helps proactively address opportunities or risks associated with the sale and distribution of the company's annuity products. She reports to Corey Walther, ALFS chief operating officer.

"Melissa has built an excellent track record of being able to cllaborate with key business partners to strengthen our distribution practices," commented Walther. "She has successfully driven initiatives intended to improve the producer's experience while building a strong foundation of sales supervision across our organization. All of these efforts are crucial in our work to drive results for our customers."

Bottolfson joined Allianz in 2004. She held a variety of positions in Operations before joining the ALFS team in 2009. There she took on increased responsibilities including providing training for registered representatives and managing the creation and implementation of business rules and guidelines for regulatory and compliance requirements. Bottolfson also collaborated with the product innovation team to proactively identify customers' needs and managed effective communications with the marketing and distribution training teams.

Bottolfson attended St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn. and holds her Series 6, 26 and 63 securities registrations.
