F5 Showcases Software Defined Application Services™ at VMworld 2014

SEATTLE --(Business Wire)--

F5 Networks (NASDAQ:FFIV) announced today it will be participating in a number of activities at the upcoming VMworld conference, taking place August 24-28 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The company's presence at the event will center on the ways the F5 Synthesis architecture and agile application services complement VMware's vision for the software-defined data center (SDDC). In line with customers' aims to transform traditional IT infrastructures into SDDCs, F5 will showcase interoperable solutions around technologies such as End User Computing, network virtualization, data center and cloud management, and VMware vCloud® Air hybrid cloud platform (previously VMware vCloud® Hybrid Service) during dedicated breakout sessions.

F5 Activities at VMworld

This year, VMware will be cohosting three of F5's four breakout sessions. These will illustrate the seamless integrations that are possible when organizations deploy VMware and F5 technologies in concert. Please note: VMworld 2014 breakout session locations will be listed in the conference program and available onsite to attendees. Specific sessions at VMworld include:

"VMworld provides an ideal environment to emphasize our collaboration with VMware and demonstrate the additional value offered to mutual customers," said Calvin Rowland, VP of Business Development at F5. "Tight interoperability between F5 and VMware offerings places our solutions at the forefront of an evolving industry. The companies' technologies promote production-ready, secure, and open L2-7 services that accelerate application deployment, reduce operations costs, and strengthen security for customers."

F5 is a VMworld 2014 platinum sponsor, which is available to select VMware partners by invitation only. F5 will also be giving demos and conducting additional activities throughout the entire event at booth #1621, with special focus given to these topics: End User Computing, SDDCs, Software Defined Application Services, VMware NSX, VMware vCloud Air, VMware® vCenter Orchestrator, and VMware vCloud® Automation Center.

F5 will also be tweeting from the event via its corporate handle, @f5networks, and engaged with the official VMworld hashtag, #VMworld.
