Cablecom to offer triple-play as standard [TeleGeography CommsUpdate](TeleGeography CommsUpdate Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Switzerland's largest cableco and second largest internet service provider (ISP) by subscribers UPC Cablecom has announced that from 1 January 2015 it will offer triple-play as standard, adding a telephony service as part of its basic offering, in addition to the existing TV and internet services. The upgraded package will offer users access to 65 TV channels – including 36 in high definition (HD) – 170 radio stations, a 2Mbps broadband connection, a telephone line with low rates, and access to two free smartphone apps, the first of which features 60 TV channels and a video-on-demand (VoD) library, whilst the second allows the user to make calls at fixed line rates.
