AMD unveils Radeon R7 series SSD [T-break Tech (Middle East)]


(T-break Tech (Middle East) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) We have seen AMD come up with Radeon branded RAM chips before. Now they have officially announced their Radeon R7 series mainstream Solid State Drives. These SSDs will pack 19nm MLC NAND flash chips from Toshiba and Indilinx Barefoot 3 M00 controllers from OCZ.



The drives are built by OCZ and will be available in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities. All three drives have a common sequential read speeds of 550MB/s. The sequential write speeds for 240/480GB is 530MB/s and a bit lower 470MB/s for 120GB capacity. No further details on pricing or availability are known as of now.
