iPhone 6 - Goodbye 32GB, Hello 128GB? [Mobile 88 Online (Malaysia)]

(Mobile 88 Online (Malaysia) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) iPhone has traditionally been offered in a choice of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. If the latest round of iPhone 6 speculations is to be believed, it could be time we say goodbye to the 32GB option and say hello to 128GB.

G4Games has reported about the makers for each of the memory capacity for the iPhone 6 and the 32GB option is nowhere to be seen. The 16GB memory will be supplied by Hynix and Toshiba with SanDisk joining them to provide for the 64GB memory. Finally, Toshiba will be the sole provider for the 128GB capacity.

Several questions abound from this. Firstly, is the 32GB capacity slowly going out of favor? We see that both the Xiaomi Mi 4 and Mi Pad are offered in either 16GB or 64GB only. Apple's move to remove the 32GB could set a precedence for other phone manufacturers to follow.

Secondly, will that mean the iPhone 6 is going to be more expensive than previous iPhones? Bear in mind that 128GB is double the capacity of the 64GB so we could be seeing more expensive prices this year, especially for the highest variant model.

With the iPhone not having a microSD expansion slot, users are stuck with the 3 variants, like it or not. Do you prefer the new 128GB option or would you rather have the 32GB back? The iPhone 6 is widely expected to be unveiled on September 9.
