Alibaba Group Expands International Corporate Affairs Team


HANGZHOU, China --(Business Wire)--

Alibaba Group today announced the appointments of Bob Christie, Jennifer Kuperman and Greg Jenkins as new members of the company's International Corporate Affairs team. Christie, Kuperman and Jenkins will be based in San Francisco and will report to Jim Wilkinson, Alibaba Group's Senior Vice President and Head of International Corporate Affairs.

Bob Christie will serve as Vice President of International Media responsible for managing media relations for the company outside of Greater China. He has extensive media relations and issues management experience across industries and markets around the world. Previously, he was a managing director for Burson-Marsteller in New York. He is a former Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at The New York Times Company and Vice President of Communications at Dow Jones & Company.

Jennifer Kuperman will serve as Vice President of Strategy and Planning, leading international strategic communications initiatives for Alibaba Group. Jennifer brings extensive global experience in building and executing corporate positioning, narrative and engagement strategies. Previously, Kuperman was the Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Marketing and Reputation at Visa Inc., and also previously served as the Chief of Staff to Visa's CEO. Kuperman began her career as a management consultant with Accenture (News - Alert).

Greg Jenkins will serve as a director with the international corporate affairs team. Greg is a veteran international communications professional with more than 20 years experience in the private and public sectors. Most recently, he worked at Brunswick Group, a strategic communications firm. He has extensive international experience having advised several multi-national corporations focusing on corporate reputation, issues management and crisis communications. He was also a producer for Fox News Channel.
