National Association of Professional Women Announces Amanda Castro, Vice President at Eco lHS Group, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 02, 2014 NAPW honors Amanda Castro as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Mrs. Castro is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.

"I told him he was too arrogant! Two weeks later, he called and said, 'I like you. I want you to work for me,'" says Mrs. Castro, recalling how she came to join Eco IHS Group, a full-service cleaning and staffing company serving the hospitality industry.

Mrs. Castro was working in real estate when she first came in contact with the Owner of Eco IHS Group. She clearly impressed him with her confidence and business savvy since soon after, he asked her to join his company. After much convincing on his part, Mrs. Castro agreed, as eventually did her husband who inherited the Company after the Owner's unfortunate and tragic death. Eco IHS Group has continued to thrive under their leadership.

"We are a good team and I am very grateful for our success," says Mrs. Castro. "We have about 700 people on our staff off peak and about 2,000 in the peak season." In addition to providing high-quality cleaning and staffing services to the hospitality industry in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA, which includes managing all administrative needs such as payroll, HR, general liability and workman's compensation, Eco IHS Group has recently launched a new recycling company that focuses on collection of spent cooking oil, which is converted into the bio-fuel used today. Soon to come is the company's eco-friendly cleaning product line. It is this branch of the company that Mrs. Castro is focusing on at the moment.

"We are launching our new chemical line, which is my goal right now, and just about all I have time for with three kids to take care of, too," she laughed. "I can only hope for continued success, but I know with hard work and direct focus on our goals, together my husband and I can accomplish anything," Mrs. Castro concluded, with complete confidence in her voice.

NAPW's mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve.
