Amanda j. Ponzar Joins Good360 as Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Ponzar, former director of communications for United Way Worldwide, has joined the organization as its new vice president of marketing and communications. Ponzar brings invaluable marketing experience to Good360 as the organization continues to scale its impact and innovate the philanthropy space.



"With nearly two decades of experience in media, marketing, and communications strategy, we are thrilled that Amanda is joining Good360," said Cindy Hallberlin, president and CEO of Good360. "Amanda's expertise is critical to our effort to expand our Circle of Good and enable all of our partners to do good, better." Ponzar joins the organization just before it launches the first of two innovative websites that will bring together companies, nonprofits and individuals to do more social good "through crowdfunding and real-time impact." She will be integral to engaging nonprofits, companies and individuals in using these two new technology platforms to both do good and to better understand the impact of that good. The launch of the new GivingPlace (http://www.good360.org/givingplaceLaunch/) platform this fall will enable nonprofits to get the donated goods they most need to serve their communities, companies to get real-time information about how their donations are helping, and individuals to amplify their cash donations and witness the tangible impact of those donations. Disaster Recovery360 (http://www.disasterrecovery360.org/) - to be launched in 2015 - is a website and mobile application that ensures the right corporate product donations are distributed to the right place at the right time.

Ponzar comes to Good360 from United Way Worldwide, the largest privately funded nonprofit in the world, where she most recently served as the director of key stakeholder communications. During her tenure there she led communications, public relations, and marketing campaigns with United Way's Global Corporate Leaders, many of the largest and most philanthropic Fortune 500 companies in the world. Additionally, Ponzar promoted and managed cause marketing and grant partnerships for UPS, Microsoft, Wells Fargo, Walmart, Johnson & Johnson, Target Corporation, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Kellogg Corporation, Bank of America, AT&T, American Express and many more.


Ponzar also worked for the American Red Cross, Swank Motion Pictures and The Franklin Mint. Her peers have described her as strategic, passionate, creative, tenacious, and "extraordinarily bright and capable of managing complex projects to achieve results." Among her many recognitions, she has received four Superior Achievement in Media Relations Awards, and was given the Army Commanders Award for Public Service Medal in 2008.

Ponzar earned her Bachelor's Degree in English from Pennsylvania State University, and went on to receive a Master's Degree in Media Communications from Webster University, plus obtained Executive Education in Corporate Social Responsibility from Harvard Business School.
