Econsultancy reveals highest-earning digital agencies for PPC and SEO

The news was published by the leading digital research company, Econsultancy in its Top 100 Digital Agencies 2014 report.



The rankings reveal that DigitasLBi is the highest-earning agency for both SEO and PPC in the UK, with £9,858,880.00 of the agency's annual turnover being driven from its popular SEO service and £6,161,800.00 from its PPC offering. That's 10% of the agency's annual turnover of £61,618,000.00 being SE and 10% attributed to PPC.

Second in the ranking table for SEO is Leeds-based digital agency, Stickyeyes, which sees a total annual fee income of £11,109,111.00 from digital. £6,998,739.93 (63%) of that total is attributed to SEO, while the agency ranks 15th for PPC. The agency's PPC service drives a total of £1,666,366.65 (15%) in fee income for the business per annum.


London-based Ayima is third in the list, with £6,584,490.00 (99%) of the digital agency's £6,651,000.00 fee income being driven from SEO. Ayima doesn't feature in the top 25 for its PPC fee income.

North West based search marketing agency, Click Consult is ranked as the fifth highest-earning fee income agency for SEO in the UK and the 19th for PPC. Of its total fee income of £5,500.00, the multi award-winning search marketing agency receives £4,675,000.00 (85%) from SEO fees and £660,000.00 (12%) from PPC.

Other agencies with a top 25 fee income for SEO include Latitude Digital Marketing, WMG, SapientNitro, McCann Manchester and 360i.

While DigitasLBi topped the ranking chart for PPC, Surrey-based Jellyfish has been ranked in second place. With a total fee income of £10,500,000.00, £5,250,000.00 (50%) of that total is driven from PPC. Jellyfish does not feature in the top 25 list of highest fee income agencies for SEO.

Jaywing features in the eighth position of the PPC ranking table, with £2,467,790.00 (13%) of its total fee income of £18,983,000.00 being driven from PPC. Meanwhile, digital agency POSSIBLE features in 25th position for its PPC services, with £660,000.00 of its fee income being attributed to PPC. That's 5% of the agency's total fee income of £13,250,000.00.

Other agencies with a top 25 fee income for PPC include Lowe Profero, Razorfish, Summitt and Add People.
