(City A.M. (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) DWF The law firm has announced the appointment of two partners to its London real estate team. Chris Seel and Nicola Giddens (pictured) join from Stephenson Harwood, where they were partner and senior associate respectively.



BlackRock Lars Meisinger has been appointed regional chief operating officer, Europe, Middle East and Africa, for BlackRock Alternative Investors. He joins from Man Group, where he was most recently head of business strategy at FRM, its hedge fund solutions business. Meisinger has also worked at Axa Investment Managers.

Numis Graeme Summers has been appointed managing director in corporate finance/corporate broking at the stockbroker and corporate advisory firm. He joins from N+1 Singer, where he was head of corporate broking. Summers has also previously run Brewin Dolphin's corporate advisory and broking division.


Arbuthnot Latham The private banking and wealth management arm of the Arbuthnot Banking Group has appointed Michelle Duncalf as private banker in its North West regional office. She joins from Barclays Wealth, where she was a private banker focusing on the sports, media and entertainment market.

Moore Stephens Omar Ripon has been appointed partner in the accountancy and consultancy firm's insurance industry group. He has over 20 years' experience in insurance.

Northland Capital Partners The investment bank has appointed Michael Campbell as a research analyst in its equity research team. He joins from Daniel Stewart, where he was a senior analyst. Campbell has also held roles at Collins Stewart.

LSE Dame Tessa Jowell has been appointed professor of practice at the London School of Economics. She is standing down as MP for Dulwich and West Norwood in 2015, and was secretary of state for culture, media and sports from 2001 to 2007.

First Base The London developer has appointed Simon Benton as head of land. He was previously senior land manager at Berkeley Group.
