Canon U.S.A.'s Clean Earth Crew Beautifies Lakeland County Park in Islandia


MELVILLE, N.Y. --(Business Wire)--

Canon (News - Alert) U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, celebrated the Company's Clean Earth Crew Campaign at Lakeland County Park in Islandia, N.Y. Approximately 150 Canon employees, family members and friends volunteered to revamp the park, which is fully accessible and designed for the disabled and their families. Participants painted picnic tables, benches and boardwalk rails; placed mulch and woodchips around the entrance signs, gazebo and trees; washed the playground area and planted new flowers throughout the park.

"The annual Clean Earth Crew event is an opportunity for Canon employees to give back to the community by improving and protecting Long Island's natural environment," said Kotaro Fukushima, senior director and general manager, Corporate Communications Division, Canon U.S.A.
