Movers & Shakers: Kaiser Permanente San Rafael hires two new doctors [The Marin Independent Journal, Novato, Calif.]


(Marin Independent Journal (CA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Sept. 18--Kaiser Permanente has transferred two of its physicians to work at the San Rafael medical center.

Dr. Srinivas Ganesh is a board certified, fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physician working in the orthopedics department. He received his medical degree from Tufts University and completed his sports medicine fellowship at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. He initially joined Kaiser Permanente in 2003.



Dr. Yonghua Tai joined Kaiser Permanente in 2007, becoming the director of stroke rehabilitation at the Kaiser Foundation Center in Vallejo. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery and worked as an orthopedic surgeon at Changzheng Hospital in Shanghai, China before moving to the U.S. After moving to the states, he received his medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University.

----Attorney Josh Boxer, of Tiburon, has been hired at Bramson, Plutzik, Mahler & Birkhaeuser, LLP of Walnut Creek.


Boxer represents plaintiffs in consumer fraud and workers' rights class action lawsuits throughout the country.

----Market Rates Insight, a financial research firm in San Anselmo, has hired MaryEllen Whitton, of Petaluma, as vice president of sales.

Whitton was most recently director of business development for Master Mind Marketing Solutions, a sales and marketing consulting firm. She also owned and operated two businesses, including a telecommunications software development company. She also previously worked as a regional sales manager for Market Rates Insight.

----Russ Colombo, president and CEO of Bank of Marin, has announced that the bank will donate $20,000 to the Napa Valley Community Foundation to benefit the Napa Disaster Relief Fund following the Aug. 24 earthquake.

The Novato-based bank has been operating in Napa since 2010.

----The Center for Domestic Peace has been awarded the Alex Forman Peace Award for 2014 by the Marin Democratic Party.

Donna Garske, executive director, and Kate Kain, deputy executive director, accepted the award on behalf of the nonprofit. The center was honored for its work with children and families, promoting peace in the home as a place to start in order to achieve peace in the world.

----EO Products, a manufacturer of natural and organic personal care products in San Rafael, has received two awards.

It has been recognized in the annual Inc. 5000 list as one of America's fastest-growing private companies.

In addition, the company was named one of the North Bay Business Journal's "Best Places to Work." It's one of 88 companies in Sonoma and Marin counties to receive this recognition within the 15 to 50 employee category.
