[I-bank focus]Citi starts TCL Comm at "buy" and HK$14.2 [ET Net News (China)](ET Net News (China) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) [ET Net News Agency, 19 September 2014] Citi Research initiated coveraged on TCL Communication Technology (02618) with a "buy" call, and a target price of HK$14.2. It expects TCL to register solid earnings growth in 2014-2016 on extensive exposure to emerging markets, where Citi expects the highest shipment growth due to lower smartphone penetration (as % of handsets). In addition, the research house said continuing product mix improvement allows TCL to sustain relatively stable margins as higher-margin smartphones replace lower-margin feature phones in its main markets.
