WKU Plans Leadership Symposium Oct. 22 for Glasgow Region


(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BOWLING GREEN, Ky., Sept. 19 -- Western Kentucky University issued the following news: WKU is making leadership development available to the Glasgow region on Oct. 22.

Dr. Cecile Garmon, a Glasgow resident and Director of the Center for Leadership Excellence in the Gordon Ford College of Business at WKU, announced the Center's initiative to provide leadership development activities for local individuals within the region with a regional symposium.



The half-day session will consist of prominent leaders sharing their experiences on leadership. The day will begin with Dave Tatman, Executive Director of the Kentucky Automotive Industry Association, as the keynote speaker and will follow with two interactive workshops designed to provide attendees with information on self-development strategies to become a better leader and with a better understanding on how leadership can build better communities.

Lunch will follow with opportunities to network and gain further leadership insights from a final speaker.


The Leadership Symposium will be held at the Barren River Lake State Resort Park Lodge in Lucas from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
