McDaniel is CEO at ABS [Daily Record, The (Wooster, OH)](Daily Record, The (Wooster, OH) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) WOOSTER -- ABS Materials announced Thursday its board of directors selected J. Gary McDaniel as the company's new CEO, effective Sept. 3. McDaniel has been involved in the work of start-up and early- stage ventures for more than 30 years with companies such as Catacel Corp., W.R. Grace & Company, and Akzo Nobel. He replaces former CEO Stephen Spoonamore, who also helped found the company with College of Wooster professor Paul Edmiston, who is chief science officer for ABS.
