DotCMS and Azul Systems Partner to Improve Web-Scale Content Management Systems [Manufacturing Close - Up]

(Manufacturing Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) DotCMS and Azul Systems recently reported that Azul Zing is now certified with dotCMS, enabling dotCMS users to benefit from nearly unlimited scalability, consistent response times and improved reliability.

According to a media release, the agreement was signed following a successful Proof of Concept (POC) at a healthcare provider, who was hosting more than 1,000 websites on a cluster of dotCMS servers running with 40 GB heaps, but was experiencing application pauses of up to 170 seconds. The healthcare company is experiencing improved throughput performance, higher availability and increased reliability. Prior to the trial, dotCMS tested and validated compatibility and performance gains using Zing in its in-house testing unit.

"Our enterprise customers implement demanding use cases with dotCMS and depend on it to run their business," said Will Ezell, CTO of dotCMS. "Deploying on Azul's Zing enhances the scalability, responsiveness and reliability of dotCMS and assures deployments can deliver consistent, low latency response times regardless of user load." "Companies depend on their online presence for revenue and customer service," said Scott Sellers, CEO of Azul Systems. "One of Zing's design goals was better performance for interactive web- scale applications like dotCMS, particularly those implementing rich, engaging features. By deploying dotCMS on Zing, enterprises can deliver the best possible customer experience, grow online usage without worry, and take advantage of all the advanced capabilities of dotCMS." DotCMS is a Java open source content management system for companies that demand performance in their Web operations and CMS.
