VIVA Bahrain in Telecoms World Middle East 2014 [Daily Tribune (Bahrain)]

(Daily Tribune (Bahrain) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) VIVA will participate in the prestigious Telecoms World Middle East (TWME) where new strategies, innovation and partnerships will be discussed. The company will be part of the CXO's keynote panel of discussion that will address topics on how OTT (Over-The-Top) services and Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) can find common ground, the transformation of the wholesale business model and how to build a scope of digital services for future growth.

The panel will bring the senior management of leading operators together to discuss the untapped opportunities or innovation for OTT services and operators to leverage in the long-term. The overall objective is to discuss existing telecom business models and draw a roadmap for the future that takes into consideration partnerships with OTT players, a customer-centric business model and digital services for future growth. VIVA Bahrain CEO Ulaiyan Al Wetaid said that TWME will be a platform for telecom operators to collaborate and analyse best practices and future growth drivers.

VIVA will also be highlighting its partnership with BT to build a Global IP Exchange (GIPX) interoperability hub in Bahrain. The hub is targeted to be launched in the first quarter of 2015 and will deliver hosting and connectivity whilst providing a new route to market for BT's Global IP Exchange interoperability services in the region.
