Samsung CEO Boo-Keun Yoon to deliver keynote speech at CES 2015 [Mobile 88 Online (Malaysia)]

(Mobile 88 Online (Malaysia) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Last week the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced that the President and CEO of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Boo-Keun Yoon, will deliver the keynote address at the 2015 International CES trade show.

Full list of Samsung smartphones & tablets Among the items CEO Yoon is expected to discuss during his keynote include the future of the ‘Internet of Things’ and the future of the smart home, which are relevant high ideas as the world rapidly approaches a high level of integration between various facets of technology. Samsung has most recently released the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear Fit fitness band, two smart wearable consumer-focused devices that rely heavily on inter-connected technologies.

Samsung has also partnered with virtual reality pioneers Oculus VR to produce the Samsung Gear VR, a virtual reality headset that has to be paired with the Galaxy Note 4 phablet and should be made available commercially by year’s end.

President & CEO of Samsung Electronics Co Ltd., Boo-Keun Yoon Yoon, who also serves as Samsung’s Chief Design Officer, is the ideal man to represent this ever-changing facet of consumer tech, as since he joined Samsung in 1978 and became head of the company’s Visual Display business in 2007, he not only maintained Samsung’s formidable market share in TVs (Samsung is the biggest player in the world) for 8 consecutive years, but managed to double revenue along the way.

CES is possibly the biggest gathering for consumer electronics aficionados, and will return to the Las Vegas stage it has occupied in years past from January 6 to January 9 2015. According to CEA’s research with the Gfk firm, consumer spending on electronics is skyrocketing and is expected to top over a trillion dollars in 2015.

Thanks to its market leading advances in the smartphone and technologies associated with it, as well as the diverse electronic product portfolio under its generous belt, Korean conglomerate Samsung is justifiably seen as a leading brand in cutting-edge electronics and global digital connectivity.
