Multilevel Signal Generation and Programmable De-emphasis in a PPG The PPG6810 introduces new capabilities to programmable pattern generators, including the ability to generate both NRZ and multilevel signals, such as PAM4 and PAM8, without the need for external power combiners or other expensive accessories. The PPG6810 also delivers a 1.6 volt differential swing at maximum data rate, enabling split signal test configrations without costly external output amplifiers. The PPG6810 is the only product of its kind offering internal, programmable de-emphasis, a key tool for silicon developers and test engineers engaged in worst-case error recovery testing.
